MAY 2010 OUTING
On Sunday 23rd May 2010 was our annual Sunday School trip. This year we again went to the Glenshee Compass Christian Centre. We met at the square and set of just after 9am. We travelled by mini-bus driven by Mr Cooper. When we arrived at the centre, we left our bags in the centre. The first activity was the kayaking, we put on our lifejackets and helmets. The water was freezing but it was good fun. We are taught how to paddle and control. I luckily never went over but Mrs Mitchell and Mathew did. We were all wet when we got out, because we all went down either the canoe slide or people slide. Then we got dried (we had a shower first) and dressed into dry clothes. Then we went up to the rope course, some who were finished first were then blindfolded and had to do the course again. We then all went up to the games room and had our lunch. After lunch we travelled home. We all had a good day. Thank you to Mr and Mrs Cooper, Mrs Mitchell and all the people at the Glenshee Centre. Allanis
Seniors’ 2010 Diary
Sunday 5th September 2010 – Sunday School resumes
JANUARY - MARCH 2010
This term our opening lessons are taken from the book of Daniel. We will learn about Daniel and his friends who are taken to Babylon as captives but remain faithful to God, throughout their lives. In the weeks leading up to Easter we will study what happens to Jesus from the time he is betrayed until his resurrection..
Our weekly lessons come from the Go Teach material, which provides bright, imaginative and interesting Workbooks and colourful Visual Aids for the children to complete.
We use the Come Learn Junior Workbooks for the P4-P7 children and the Teen Search for the teenagers. The Visual Aids once completed are displayed on our Notice Board to build up a visual display of our studies.

During the year we have COMPETITIONS QUIZZES * GAMES * OUTINGS and occasionally take part in the service.
nKomazi Orphaned Family Sponsorship
After the amazing impact the African Children’s Choir had on us all in June 2005, we have decided that in a small way we can help the desperate situation in their homeland. There are over 2,700 children who have lost one or both parents to Aids and fight a daily battle against starvation.
We are delighted to be sponsoring the family of Eric, one of the members of the choir. Our weekly collection is going towards this, and is supplemented by generous donations from members of the congregation and fund raising events. We are extremely grateful to everyone for their support of this project.
